WHAT TO EXPECT

We want your first experience at Grace to be relaxed, and for you and your family to enjoy the service.  
So, here is some information to help you know what to expect:

What time is the service?

We meet in-person on Sundays at 10 AM and online every two hours starting at 9 AM. The service lasts 50-55 minutes. We encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes early, especially if you have young children (under age 5). This will give you plenty of time to check your children into GBC Kids and for you to find a good seat in the theater before the service begins.

Where is Grace?

In-person services are at the Millstone 14 Theater located at 3400 Footbridge Ln, Fayetteville (near the Putt Putt Fun Center). We are developing a site located at 5915 Fisher Rd (near E. Melvin Honeycutt Elementary School and Lakewood Dr). 

What should I do when I arrive?

Park in the main parking lot at the front of the theater and enter the building through the front entrance. We have a team of volunteers (look for orange t-shirts) and signage to make it clear where to come inside. One of our volunteers will guide you to the theater and answer any questions you may have. If you have children ages birth through 4, we have a Nursery area that you can take advantage of. Kids are absolutely welcome in our worship service. And you can use the Nursery area for just a portion or for all of the worship service. All of our volunteers are background checked and trained so that you can have confidence in our process. You will receive a Connection Card and a pen on your way into the service. Tip for First-Time Guests: Turn in your Connection Card at the end of the service to receive a free gift. Active duty military guests receive a bonus gift.

How should I dress?

We care more about making a meaningful connection with you and your family than about what you wear, so the dress is always casual. Dress how you are most comfortable, and you will fit right in. 

What are the messages like?

Our goal every Sunday is to teach the timeless truths of the Bible in a way that is engaging and applicable to your life. You will find that the messages are practical, easy to understand, and grounded in Scripture. We use what is called the "expository" method, which means we strive to find and explain the intent of the day's Bible passage for its original audience and then apply that meaning to our lives today. What about the music?

The short answer is that our music is contemporary in style (think Christian radio) and guitar-driven. Our primary consideration in musical worship is to worship God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth. To worship in spirit means the worship music should engage the full spectrum of emotions that God Himself has created in bringing glory to Him. It should be authentic and not just a surface-level going through the motions. To worship in truth means that the text of the music must be theologically accurate and easy to understand. Church is not a funeral parlor, and we celebrate a risen Savior. Speaking of music, if you are a musician, use the Digital Connection Card to let us know you would like to try out for the Worship Arts Team. 

What's available for my kids?

Kids are a priority here at GBC! For ages six weeks to 5, we have a nursery available. All of our volunteers are background checked. We use a secure check-in process. Kids will enjoy a variety of age-appropriate lessons, crafts, music, and games. To save time at check-in, you can pre-register your kids. We encourage children age 6 and above to come into the worship service. We want kids of any age to feel welcome in our worship service. While we are talking about kids, each month, we have a special activity called GBC Kids. These include games, crafts, music, and a Bible lesson. What's available for my Middle and High School Students?

On Sunday mornings, we encourage middle and high school students to come into the worship service. Throughout the month, our strategy includes regular times of worship designed just for them with fun games, great music, small group Bible studies with discussions on the Bible and faith, and monthly fun activities to hang out and connect with other students from Grace who attend schools from all around the area - while growing spiritually.

What's available during the week?

During the week, Grace's Growth Groups meet online and at convenient locations through the region. Growth Groups come together to study the Bible, grow spiritually, meet new people, and have fun. They last 8-10 weeks, so it's a short-term commitment. Growth Group sign-ups occur 3 times per year (January, May, September).
